Carson Boulevard Update and New Development

Originally Published Mar. 2, 2020

So, as was outlined in the Previous Article, Courdelane has a knack for building lots of new, large infrastructure. Among that is two new buildings at the end of Carson Boulevard and a bit of a larger piece of news concerning larger-scale development.

Elemental Casino-Resort

This bad boy sits at the end of Carson Boulevard and was able to catch the title of the first building to reach the maximum build limit of Courdelane, marked as Y-256. Though, I’m not sure where the Y system comes from.

Either way, it was the first building to reach it and because of its shape it casts a huge shadow, as you can probably see from this picture I took from within that shadow on the Curie Highway.

The interior of the Elemental

The Elemental used the same White-Brown color scheme seen on the signage of the Carson Boulevard and it’s fitting as the first building a lot of people will see coming onto the strip.

As the signs say, it was also the first Casino build in the strip, with I believe the first building, in general, being the Carson-Star Condos at the other end.

EdgeWorld Casino, an unfinished Casino on the Strip next to the Elemental

The EdgeWorld Casino is another Casino-Resort that’s located right at the entrance. It’s been under construction for some time now, beginning soon after Elemental opened, and once it does it’ll be the second casino on the strip, and the first to actually be on Carson Boulevard. So far the outside seems finished, but the inside doesn’t seem to be furnished at all so I’ll update you all once progress starts being made again.

And now, for the Main Event…

The Windsor Intersect

The Windsor Motorway!

Apparently, the new “Motorway” designation is special for Windsor as it’s laws are pretty much “It has to be a road, from there it can do whatever it damn well pleases” Which was immediately evident once they started building it a bit because it does something that I don’t think any other road in Courdelane is even allowed to do.

The Windsor Split!

Sign noting that Windsor Motorway has a branch heading East.

The Windsor Motorway is the only road type than can have a branch like this, which does raise questions about addressing if a building were to ever have its front door lead to the motorway. But currently, that isn’t an issue as it’s noyl elevated right now with other boulevards under it, like Curie Highway.

Windsor Split Light Rail Station

The Windsor Motorway also has a light rail going along its entire length, using the lamps as support pillars.

But of course, as you could have seen in these last two pictures, there’s a lot of other development, so let’s get into that

The Rest of New Development

Annual Park archway and Sign

Annual park was built over New Years 2020 as a celebration of the new decade and every coming year.

Annual Park itself

Annual Park itself is going to be a statue park once they’re done. They start at 2018 for some reason and then go on from there all the way into the 2030s.

New Years Plaza and Ice Rink

New Years Plaza was also made over the New Year, and opened with an Ice Rink and a store.

Mytho Rue’s

Mytho Rue’s is your standard luxury clothing store. Lots of wood and other ‘Premium’ building materials, $500 shirts made from ‘Hand Woven wool’ or something like that.

Hoover Condos

The Hoover Condos were under construction when the plaza first opened New Year’s Eve, but was finished in January and quickly filled up entirely to max capacity.

There’s slated to be a lot more in this plaza, so I’ll be keeping up with it and keep you posted.

Coffee Palace Flagship Location

Coffee Palace also opened its new flagship location near the New Years area, with a gift shop and having on-site large scale roasting. It also has a large focus on natural light, as you can see with all the windows.

It also features a fully-sized jungle tree, which is the same as their coffee beans are grown on.

Quartseit Casino-Resort

It’s been a while, but Oriental Holdings is finally back with their latest project, the Quartseit Casino-Resort.

Quartseit interior

By land area it’s still not as large as the Lucius, but seems to have fit more into that smaller footprint, having more machines and a restaurant in the same building!

That bottom image is also of the staircase that leads up to the hotel tower. I feel like they could have made it a little better, but what works works.

Quartseit retail and beacon

The Quartseit also has third-party retail at the front. A Pawnshop and a Liquor store, for some reason.

It’s also what’s called a ‘Beacon Building’, or at least that’s what I’ve dubbed them.  There aren’t a lot of  Beacon Buildings in Courdelane, one of which being the residential Emerald Tower near the Lucius and Imperia.

Emerald Tower and its Beacons (Top Right)

This is actually a fairly interesting addition because in case it wasn’t clear by there really only being two buildings in Courdelane with them, Beacons are VERY expensive.

The going rate for one beacon is about $50,000. And the Quartseit has six. That’s a total of $300,000 spent on Beacons!

But beyond that, I think that the Quartseit is currently their second-largest casino-resort -I’m sure you can guess who’s number one- and it’s a good early addition to this new “Windsor Area” or as it’s technically named: Paradise Hills.

The current borders of Paradise Hills are everything East of Curie Boulevard after it turns north.

The next item up on the list is…

Buena Pona Mixed-Use Tower

Buena Pona is a Mixed-Use Commerical-Residential tower located right at the Windsor Split. You can actually see it in the background of one of the pictures.

Inside Buena Pona

The first and second floors, which will be used for the commercial, aren’t done yet and have no scheduled tenants. Though that’s because they’ll open up leasing closer to completion, according to them at least.

Pre-leases for the apartments are open now though since they’ll be able to put up temporary walls to the upper floors where they are.

Going down the Windsor Branch…

Courdelane Commons Market

The Courdelane Commons are actually open for leasing right now, though it works a bit differently. Rather than have each tenant take up a multi-year least, these are aimed at individuals to sell anything they grow or make.

The leases run for about 1-2 months and are typically less and $1,500 per month (Paradise Hills is expected to have a lot of the rich people in town so this isn’t that much.)

It also has a Metro station (Right, bottom image) which connects it all the way to the University on one line.

I don’t know exactly what will come of the Windsor Motorway, or Paradise Hills, but I do know what’s happening here and now in Courdelane, so keep your eyes out for more articles since we’ll keep posted about the goings-on in Courdelane!
