Courdelane is getting a dispatch of new cellular data

This is most definatley a very different kind of article than what you’re used to, but this is more straight news.

Cell Data tower in the Historic District

Courdelane has thus far has only had its Cell data via hidden transmitters inside of tall buildings such as the Oriental and CBC.

However, the main cell provider for Courdelane, Triton Wireless has developed higher speed data, which they’re calling 5G. Due to 5Gs higher wavelength, it needed more dedicated and more direct towers.

Of course, with its higher wavelength requirement, some areas of the city where the towers are directly blocked does not have a strong enough signal for it.

Triton, however, said that they may be able to diminish that area via repeaters placed in street lamps or buildings as they wouldn’t have to be as large in size since they’re not direct transmission.

Not all devices yet have the capability to receive a 5G transmission. Most phones older than 4 years don’t have an antenna that is able to receive it. If you want to test it, go into direct view of a tower and check if you have the signal. Triton has said that you’ll just connect automatically if you can.

Keep updated with me though, since I have a more normal article planned soon touring Leadership Park, since the arrival of new Headquarters has slowed to a near stop recently.
